AION 2 Pre-Launch Test: Steam Access and Global Schedule
The public test runs on September 17 and 18. Find the schedule for major regions, test restrictions, and how to join on Steam.

The AION 2 pre-launch test will run on September 17 and 18, 2026, on Steam and PURPLE. Each session will last six hours, for a total of twelve hours of playtime.
You can request access on Steam now from the AION 2 Playtest page. No key, invitation, or external registration is required: click “Request Access,” and Steam will notify you when access is granted.

Progress will carry over between the two sessions. It will then be wiped completely at the end of Day 2 and will not carry over to Advance Access or the official launch.
Platforms and access
The test will be available on Steam and PURPLE. It is announced as open to everyone, with no key or invitation required.
- On Steam, open the AION 2 Playtest store page and select “Request Access” now.
- On PURPLE, the test client will be available directly in the launcher.
- Playtime is limited to six hours per day, for twelve hours total.
Test content and restrictions
The test is intended to prepare for launch under conditions close to a high-traffic release. Some systems will remain disabled:
- No purchases will be available: the shop, Luna, Pass, subscriptions, and payment portals will be unavailable.
- The Market, Luna exchanges, and player-to-player trading will be disabled.
- Founder’s Pack items will not be available.
- The Wardrobe will be disabled, and only default outfits can be used.
- The level cap will be 37, locking access to higher-level content.
After the test
Steam players will need to uninstall the AION 2 Playtest app, then download the main AION 2 client separately to take part in Advance Access on September 30, 2026.
PURPLE players will not need to take any additional steps after the test.
