Read one chapter at a time. Each section is designed to answer one precise question.

Reaching level 45 in AION 2 is not only a matter of following the main quest. The story unlocks your route, but permanent systems determine whether your character arrives prepared or spends the next week repairing everything that was skipped.

The efficient approach is simple: keep the main quest moving, complete useful objectives already on your path and stop briefly whenever a permanent system opens.

Levels 1–10: build the right habits

Use the introduction to configure your controls, test sprinting and practice combat dodges. If the tutorial can be skipped and you already know the controls, moving ahead is reasonable. For a first character, those minutes are valuable.

Activate every nearby travel point and equip clear upgrades without investing rare materials. Your early gear will be replaced quickly.

Level 10: stop after your first pet

Continue the story until your first pet unlocks. Pets and mounts are the same creatures in AION 2, and the collection provides permanent owned effects beyond the companion currently equipped.

Open the collection menu, understand how souls improve one creature and begin killing convenient monster groups along your route. Our pet collection guide explains the level 5 cap and Preview of the Genus Insight interfaceGenus InsightThis interface upgrades a pet family and grants additional bonuses. in detail.

Levels 13–16: unlock Daevanions and the Monolith

This section introduces progression that remains relevant after leveling. Daevanion points improve trees containing stats, passives and skill effects. Complete nearby green quests and Sealed Dungeons when their rewards include Daevanion Points or Crystals.

Do not clear every distant icon, but complete short activities already located near the story route. Ignoring all of them can leave both your character power and Ascension behind.

Level 23: prepare the first Ascension gate

Ascension is a progression requirement fed by exploration and secondary activities. At specific points, the story expects a threshold before it continues.

Collect visible Feathers, complete useful regional quests, activate exploration objectives and enter nearby Sealed Dungeons. If the story stops, check the Ascension requirement before assuming you need more ordinary experience.

Krao Cave: learn without wasting energy

The first Expeditions teach boss movement, positioning and group responsibilities. Focus on mechanics before trying to force damage through every attack.

Do not spend limited energy or valuable consumables only to compensate for repeated mechanical mistakes. Learn the safe response first, then invest when additional power creates a real improvement.

Treat leveling gear as disposable

Equip stronger drops, but do not fully enchant every replacement. Save Kina and rare upgrade materials for pieces with a longer lifespan.

Accessories such as the belt and amulet can follow special systems. Before morphing one, remove it from every preset and inspect the materials selected by the interface. Never turn this action into an automatic click.

Keep permanent detours on your route

Green quests, Feathers, pet souls, gathering and exploration instances can provide stats or progression that remains useful at level cap. A detour is valuable when the reward is permanent and the objective is nearby.

Gather regularly instead of planning one enormous session later. Raising the level of gathering professions during the story is easier than catching up after level 45.

Level 45: the story is not finished

Reaching the level cap does not automatically complete every chapter or unlock every endgame activity. Continue the main quest, finish required Ascension steps and open the systems introduced near the end of the campaign.

Use this moment to organize two lists: permanent progression you missed and repeatable activities that now matter. Complete lasting upgrades first, then build a routine around limited entries.

Enter a Rift with a clear plan

Rifts can combine exploration, objectives and PvP risk. Before entering, empty unnecessary inventory, prepare consumables and decide whether the session is for quests, farming or combat.

Do not carry valuable unprocessed rewards longer than necessary. If the global version changes PvP rules or access schedules, follow the current interface rather than an older Asian guide.

What clean progression looks like

At level 45, your class controls should feel natural, travel points should connect the regions you use, and the main permanent systems should be unlocked. You should also have enough Kina to make deliberate endgame choices.

Speed is useful, but a clean route avoids expensive backtracking. Follow the story, collect permanent power on the way and delay perfection until your equipment will actually last.
